Accessibility Statement
Our Commitment to Accessibility
RichardMarcus.org is committed to making our website accessible to all users, including people with disabilities. We believe everyone should be able to access information about our executive coaching services in a barrier-free way. To achieve this, we strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at the Level AA standard. These guidelines inform our design and development decisions, covering principles of making web content Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust for users with a variety of abilities. Our goal is to ensure that our Site’s content is usable with assistive technologies and that all visitors can interact with the Site’s features effectively.
We are continuously working to improve the accessibility of our website. Accessibility is an ongoing effort – as web technology and standards evolve, we are committed to updating our site to maintain compliance and address new challenges. We have recently reviewed our website’s key pages and features for accessibility and will conduct periodic audits going forward.
Measures Taken
To provide an accessible user experience, we have implemented or are in the process of implementing the following measures on RichardMarcus.org:
- Semantic Structure: We use proper headings, lists, labels, and other HTML semantic elements so that the content is well-structured and can be understood by screen readers and other assistive devices.
- Text Equivalents: All meaningful images and graphics on our Site include alternative text descriptions (alt tags) that convey the purpose or content of the image. This way, users who cannot see images can still understand the information or function presented by the image. Similarly, we ensure that any multimedia content (such as videos) has captions or transcripts available if we publish such content.
- Keyboard Navigation: Our Site is designed to be navigable by keyboard alone for those who cannot use a mouse or touchpad. You can move through interactive elements like links, buttons, and form fields using the Tab key and activate them with the Enter or Spacebar keys. We avoid keyboard traps and ensure that focus indicators are visible, so you know which element is active on the page.
- Contrast and Design: We have chosen color schemes, text sizes, and fonts with accessibility in mind. We aim to maintain a sufficient color contrast ratio between text and background (generally meeting or exceeding WCAG 2.1 AA contrast requirements) to ensure that content is readable for users with visual impairments, including those with low vision or color blindness. We also use legible fonts and a clean layout to improve readability.
- Responsive and Zoom-Friendly: Our Site is responsive to different devices and screen sizes, which also benefits accessibility. Users should be able to zoom in on the text up to 200% or more (using browser zoom features) without losing functionality or readability of the content. The layout is designed to reflow as needed for smaller screens or larger text.
- Forms and Controls: All form fields on the Site (such as our contact form or booking form) have clearly associated labels. We provide instructions or cues for any required input. If an error occurs (for example, a required field is left blank), the form will provide a clear error message explaining what needs to be corrected.
- Assistive Technology Testing: We have tested key pages of our Site using tools and browsers with assistive features (including screen reader software and keyboard-only navigation) to identify and fix any accessibility issues. While we may not catch everything, this testing is part of our ongoing process to improve.
- Training and Awareness: Accessibility is a priority in our content creation and web development process. We stay informed about best practices for accessibility and periodically review any new content or features to ensure they meet our standards.
We recognize that accessibility is an ongoing journey. As such, we will continue to monitor our website and user feedback to address any issues. There may be some areas of the website that are not fully accessible yet, such as third-party content or older documents. If we identify a part of our site that doesn’t meet accessibility standards, we will make good-faith efforts to correct the issue or provide an alternative solution.

Ongoing Efforts
RichardMarcus.org is continually working to improve website accessibility. We stay updated on advancements in web accessibility and regularly review our site’s compliance with WCAG 2.1 guidelines. Accessibility is an integral part of our website’s growth and maintenance. Whenever new features or content are added, we consider their impact on users with disabilities and test accordingly. We also plan periodic audits (both self-assessments and potentially third-party evaluations) to identify any areas for improvement.
Through these ongoing efforts, we aim to achieve and sustain substantial conformance with official accessibility standards. We understand that standards may change and technology may evolve, but our commitment to an inclusive web experience will remain constant.
